“Our experience during the BfK was very fruitful because the program helped us to design a new focus for our business model. The pitch day at Techdays Aveiro was very important, as a communication exercise, since it made us develop a simpler way to explain our research to the community and we receive qualified feedbacks by talking directly to the investors.
Also during the BfK and the following weeks, we have talked with more than 150 stakeholders, between pharmaceutical/chemical executives, mentors, suppliers and possible customers. One of these customers was a direct contact from the BfK team. Two of these investors had invited us to send a more detailed business plan. We have applied for a provisional patent some months after BfK and now we are working on the validation to take us to a TRL 5-6 and then to TRL 9.”
